AZ Barrel House
Types of Beer: While this Barrel House doesn’t sell their own beer, they will be happy to show you around Phoenix to four different locations and give you a little local history while they do!
What Makes Them Unique: According to their website “During the Prohibition era of the 1920’s and 1930’s, “barrel house” was a name given to any brewery, distillery, juke joint, or other various operation (oftentimes disreputable, at that!) which sold alcoholic beverages. At AZ Barrel House Tours, we include any establishment, from brewery, distillery, craft beer bar and everything in between, that represents the history and character of Arizona through libations.” Cool, right?!
Goldwater Brewing Co.
Types of Beer: They’ve got everything from IPAs, to Porters and Imperial Stouts – but make sure you try their “Desert Rose” Cactus Ale too!
What Makes Them Unique: They have something called “The Goldmine” which sounds incredibly cool to check out. It’s their underground tap and barrel and you’re free to head down there and grab a beer for yourself!
Four Peaks Brewing Company
Types of Beer: If you live in Arizona, you’re familiar with Four Peaks. You know they have everything. There’s the classics, the prestige and the special releases that are only around for a short time every season. So head over there and see what they have in store for you!
What Makes Them Unique: Taken from their website, their tours will hit you with the subtle smell of something brewing as soon as you walk in the door. “Your nose gets it: This is a real brewery. We’ll tell you what goes into each pint we pour, we’ll wax poetic about what makes our brewing process second-to-none, and you may even get the chance to sample some of our specialties.”

What Makes Them Unique: The two founders have been on the quest for the perfect beer for a loooooong time now. So of course, you can trust them to know what’s good where and with what! Get your friends together for this hoppy tour!
Phoenix Ale
Types of Beer: Here at Phoenix Ale, they’ve got a few different types of beer ready for you to try – like their Watermelon Ale! And their Biltmore Blonde! Plus some IPAs and other porters
What Makes Them Unique: They serve panini sandwiches in their taproom! Beer and paninis? Yes please!
